Mark L. Bellamy, Jr., is the County Administrator for York County, Virginia. He reports to the Board of Supervisors and is the administrative leader of the County Government. Mr. Bellamy received a B.A. in Business from Virginia Wesleyan University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Averett University. In 2016, he graduated from the University of Virginia’s Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service Senior Executive Institute.
Mark began his career with York County in 2001 as the Fleet Manager. He was promoted to the Director of General Services, Director of Public Works and was most recently the County’s Deputy County Administrator. His hands-on experience at various levels of the County provides a unique insight and an understanding of the community's needs.
Mr. Bellamy is the representative for the County to local and regional Boards such as the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail, Historic Triangle Recreational Facilities Authority, Eastern Virginia Regional Industrial Facility Authority, Hampton Roads Planning District Commission, York Poquoson Social Services Administrative Board, and the Langley Civic Leaders Association. He is actively involved in the County’s shared services with the York County School Division.
