Utility Billing

Sewer Rates
The residential sewer rate is $54.00 every other month.

Sewer maintenance rates are based on the cost of maintenance and rehabilitation of the County's sanitary sewer infrastructure and seventy-plus pump stations, as well as for the capital improvement expenditures necessary to meet the requirements of the Hampton Roads Regional Consent Order executed with the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Environmental Quality, effective September 26, 2007.

Service Interruptions

As per York County Code Sec 18.1-81, failure to pay the bill for sewer maintenance may result in disruption of water service.  If you need additional time to pay your bill, we encourage you to visit our office to sign a payment agreement.  If you need financial assistance, funds may be available through the H2O (Help to Others) program made possible by a partnership with the Salvation Army.

If your service has already been disrupted, arrangements must be made prior to 2:00 pm to have services restored the same business day.
