New Quarter Park
Due to snow on the main road, the park will be closed on Saturday, February 7.
The restrooms have been closed indefinitely for maintenance. There is a port-a-john next to the playground and the disc golf course. If you have any concerns, contact the office at (757) 890-5840.
Winter Park Hours
November 1 through March 30

Spring, Summer & Fall Park Hours
April 1 through October 31
* Gates open daily at 8 am
* Park closes to the public at Sunset
During the winter, the New Quarter Park gates will only open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until sunset. Park staff will be on-site during these hours, and the public restrooms will be available. Guests wishing to visit the park may do so outside of this period, but know that our facilities will be closed.
During inclement weather, the park gates will remain locked.
Facility Reservations
New Quarter Park offers four different shelters and a large fire pit area for you and your family, friends, and coworkers to enjoy. If you and your party wish to book a shelter in advance, please fill out the shelter permit request form and email it to parksandrec@yorkcounty.gov. Please be aware that we have the right to ask for proof of insurance from anyone who rents from us, especially if the reservation is for an organization, community, or commercial event. If you suspect, we will ask for insurance for your reservation; please be sure to book your reservation over 30 days in advance. If you wish to reserve the Fire Circle, please make this reservation at least two weeks in advance.

About the Park
Located close to historic Williamsburg, this 545-acre park offers various recreational activities and special programs for individuals, families, and groups throughout the year. Amenities include miles of hiking and mountain bike trails, a campfire circle, four picnic shelters for group rental, 11 other smaller shelters, an 18-hole championship disc golf course, playgrounds, restroom facilities, a softball field, two basketball half courts, sand volleyball, and much more! Fishing is available from a floating pier, and easy access for kayaking and canoeing is available from a scenic launch site. There is no park entrance fee.
New Quarter Park is a natural wildlife sanctuary. It is home to various birds and butterflies and has mature woodlands, meadows, and tidal creek habitats. You can see all the birds spotted at New Quarter Park here.

Dogs
Dogs must always be controlled by their owners on a physical leash. It is the owner's responsibility to dispose of their pet's physical waste properly.
