[ARCHIVED] Have you checked out Comics Plus?

Comics are now available in your library's Digital Collection

York County Public Library (YCPL) is excited to offer Library Pass' Comics Plus! Read thousands of digital comics, graphic novels, and manga with no holds and unlimited checkouts. Every title is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on your smart phone, tablet, or web browser. Stream content in the browser and app, or download content in the app.

YCPL offers two Comics Plus collections — Children's Library and Full Library. Comics Plus Children's Library offers over 10,000 titles for readers ages 5-14. Key titles include Adventure Time; Archie Comics; Avatar: The Last Airbender; Big Nate; Bone; Disney Descendants; Disney Fairies; Fuku Fuku Kitten Tales; Geronimo Stilton; The Legend of Zelda; Lumberjanes; Minecraft; My Little Pony; Sonic the Hedgehog; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; and more.

The Comics Plus Full Library offers over 20,000 titles, including popular titles like Crude; Lighter Than My Shadow; Blade of the Immortal; Hellboy; Locke & Key; Something is Killing the Children; Jim Butcher's Dresden Files; Brzrkr; American Gods; and many more. It also includes those titles in the Children's Library. Some titles in the Full Library may not be appropriate for children.

Comics Plus can be accessed through the Digital Collection page on the library's website. Follow the top navigation to Books & More, then Digital Collections. Comics Plus can also be accessed through the LibraryPass app. Search for LibraryPass or Comics Plus in the app store. First time app users will need to search for "York County VA" and choose either the Children's Library or Full Library. Then input your library card number. When you choose a title in the app, you can download or stream it. If you have put items on your shelf through the web browser, in the app they are available "In the Cloud," instead of the default of "On Device."

Visit YouTube for a short introduction to navigating Comics Plus. If you have questions, stop by the Tabb Reference Desk or call 757-890-5120.
