York County Mosquito Control and the Tabb Library invite you to help us celebrate National Mosquito Control Awareness Week (June 23 - 29) with BugFest 2019! Join us from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, in the Tabb Library meeting room for insect displays, local experts with bug facts, activities and more!
This all-day event is open to everyone. Weather permitting, we'll also have a Tip and Toss scavenger hunt beginning at 10:30 a.m. A special bug-themed storytime will be held at 11:30 a.m. Don't forget to swing by the BugFest-Themed Makerspace Showcase inside the Tabb Library, featuring live printing of 3-D bugs and coding demonstrations. Registration is not required for any part of BugFest.
Some participants include the Virginia Cooperative Extension Office, ODU Tick Team, Colonial Beekeepers, Hampton University experts, and the Butterfly Society of Virginia. Buzz by the Tabb Library for creepy crawly fun!
