Warmer weather brings more time outside working in the yard. When cleaning up your yard, please make sure you’re disposing of yard waste properly.
- Yard waste is not accepted in the curbside recycling program, and should never be placed in the recycling containers.
- York County residents have the opportunity to schedule a yard debris collection for items such a limbs, branches and clear bags of natural yard waste.
- The VPPSA Compost Facility will accept residential yard debris deliveries from residents for free.
- Bagged yard debris, such as leaves, grass clippings and small pieces of yard debris can be disposed of in the curbside trash program.
