DecThe York County Public Library Game Collection consists of a variety of card, board, and outdoor games for different age groups. Whether you want to take your game night to the next level or just need something to combat weekend boredom, we have a game for you!
Items may be borrowed for fourteen (14) days.
Borrowing and Returning Items
Game Collection items may only be checked out by patrons in good standing. Up to two (2) Game Collection items may be checked out at a time per card holder. View the games available at the Tabb or Yorktown Library, or reserve a game through the library catalog.
Game Collection items must be checked out and returned at either the Yorktown Circulation Desk or the Tabb Reference Desk. Patrons who return items in the drop box may be fined additional costs at the discretion of library staff if damage ensues.
Missing Items and Replacements
If an item is returned with missing pieces, the patron will be notified and given one (1) week to return missing pieces before the appropriate replacement charges are applied.
Borrowers are responsible for replacing lost or damaged Game Collection items. Upon the return of items, staff will inventory and check for damage and missing pieces during every check in. If an item is damaged or missing pieces upon check in, the last user to borrow the item will be charged the replacement. Should a replacement be deemed necessary, the patron must pay the game cost listed on the item record. If the latter is done, the patron has the option to keep the original item if applicable. The York County Public Library acknowledges that items experience normal wear and tear. Therefore, it is up to the Adult Services Coordinators if replacement costs are appropriate.
List of Games as of December 2023
Note: The age categories are based on the manufacturer-listed ages for each product. It is the responsibility of the borrower to determine if a game desired for check out is skill or age appropriate.
