The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is holding its 19th Annual “Shop with a Sheriff” campaign in December. With the help of local churches and schools, at least 100 children from York County and the City of Poquoson will be selected to participate.
In order to make this an extra special day for the children, the “Shop with a Sheriff” committee is hoping to raise as much money as possible prior to December 12th, 2020. This year we are striving to be able to help children beyond the one day of shopping. We would like to have enough funds to do Christmas outreach to families in need the whole month of December.
“Shop with a Sheriff” helps many children through the generosity of our wonderful community. In order to continue to provide this positive and meaningful opportunity for the kids, Sheriff J. D. “Danny” Diggs is asking local businesses, community organizations, and individuals to contribute this year.
Checks can be made payable to “Shop with a Sheriff” and mailed to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office “Shop with a Sheriff,” P.O. Box 99, Yorktown, VA 23690. All donations are tax deductible.
