Calling all Parrot Heads! We've got the Tiki Bar Band playing from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on the Riverwalk Landing Stage for the next Sounds of Summer Concert on Thursday, June 5. A fixture on the Virginia Beach oceanfront for years, the band plays hits from the 70s and 80s, Jimmy Buffett, and beach music.
Free tours of the VA250 Mobile Museum will be available from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 6. It will be stationed in the parking lot of the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. The mobile museum brings key stories of Virginia’s rich history to schools, museums, local events, fairs, and more, highlighting every region of the state.

A very active Atlantic hurricane season is forecast this year, which runs from June 1 to November 30. Now is the time to prepare for a storm in case one approaches our region.
