About the Senior Center

Gone are the days of our senior citizens passively watching the world go by. The Senior Center of York offers various educational and entertaining programs for adults. Participation is open to seniors age 55 or better and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required for all activities and are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

We at the Senior Center of York like to think our Center is one of the best in the area. Many have made the Senior Center of York a "second home" where they can join friends in crafts, exercise classes, line dancing, painting, drawing, or needlework and bridge, to name only a few. Yes, we do have checkers and dominoes, too.

York County operates the Center with the business and civic community involvement and the Peninsula Agency on Aging (PAA). The Board of Supervisors appoints the Senior Center of York Board of Directors, which works closely with staff to shape programs and activities.

Programs & Functions

All programs and functions are requested by patrons and supported by many hardworking volunteers who are dedicated to making the Center a continuing and growing success. The Dining Club, crafts and bridge clubs, and body renewal programs are particularly popular.

Our Seniors ... living longer, living healthier, living happier!
