[ARCHIVED] Flood Insurance, Are You Covered?

The annual hurricane storm season may be coming to a close this year, but it is a great time to start preparing for the 2019 hurricane season.  This can include updating your important documents and checklists, making sure any necessary repairs are done on your house and property, and contacting your insurance agent to inquire about flood insurance.

Floods are the nation's most common natural disaster.  Just because you may not live in an evacuation area or previously flooded area does not mean that you should not be prepared for the unexpected.  Most homeowner’s insurance policies do not cover floods, so it is best to prepare ahead of time.
