Thank you to the citizens of York County for the overwhelming participation in the TREX Recycling Challenge. Our collections have earned us at least one new bench to be donated to a county school, and we are looking into ways to increase that number for more benches. As of July 31, the Tabb and Yorktown Libraries will no longer collect plastic bags for participation in this program. Plastic bags, one-time plastic wrap and film will still be collected at the Waste Management Facility/Transfer Center at 145 Goodwin Neck Road, Yorktown. We will also collect them at the Yorktown Markets on July 21, August 18, September 15, and October 20 (look for our York County Beautification Committee booth!) If other locations are identified as collection locations, we will update our website with that information as well. We appreciate your continued participation in this outstanding program.
