[ARCHIVED] TED-Style Community Talks on July 14

The York County Library Foundation is bringing together local residents, library patrons, educators, business owners, and community leaders for an important conversation on building trust and collaboration in our community. These TED-Style Community Talks will engage and inspire current and future community leaders.

Join us at the Tabb Library from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 14, and learn how you can get involved and participate in community initiatives. This Ted-Style talk will consist of a one-hour presentation followed by complimentary refreshments and networking. Our speakers for this event include:

  • Enhancing your Creative Genius presented by W.J. Rogers, NASA Contract Consultant
  • Restoring Local in a Shifting Media Landscape presented by Tom Davis, President of Local Voice Media
  • Building Trust & Loyalty to your Brand presented by Courtney Buzzell, President of Proximo Marketing, President of Peninsula Women's Network
  • Working Together: Creating Serendipitous Moments presented by Maria Schuchman, owner of Three Sheep Consulting LLC, co-founder of Momentum, and entrepreneurship instructor at Thomas Nelson Community College Workforce Development
  • PTA, America's Largest and Oldest Child Advocacy Group presented by Art Wayne, VA PTA Peninsula District Director
  • Next Chapter of the Library presented by Kevin Smith, Director of York County Public Library
  • The World Needs Leaders presented by Naomi Lewis, Community Talks Moderator, Toastmasters District 66 Director (17'-18')
