As of this month, York County Beautification Committee is excited to announce that we’ve collected well over 500 lbs. of plastic bags, plastic packaging, and single-use film for participation in the TREX Recycling Challenge. Thanks to the citizens of York County, this plastic has been kept out of landfills and the environment, and the committee will receive a bench to be donated to one of the county schools! In addition, we have started collections for our next 6-month time period which begins on August 1, 2018. The plastic materials are still being collected at both of the county libraries, and at the Waste Management Transfer/Recycling Facility at 145 Goodwin Neck Road.
