[ARCHIVED] Give Local 757 on May 8th

The York County Public Library Foundation is excited to participate in the 5th Annual Give Local 757. Building on the momentum generated over the past 5 years, in 2018, Give Local 757 aims to raise $1 million in 24 hours on May 8th for Hampton Roads nonprofits! Your support of the Library Foundation can help us get there!

The mission of the York County Public Library Foundation is to help foster learning and literacy in our community. This year our goal is to raise $5,000.00 on May 8th. With your support we plan to invest in the needed expansion and renovation of the Yorktown Library scheduled to start in 2020. Here are three ways you can help make this happen:

  1. Donate – Make your donation (starting as small as $10) to the York County Public Library Foundation at www.givelocal757.org/yorkcountylibraryfoundation on Tuesday, May 8th. Gifts of any size can make a HUGE difference!
  2. Share – Share on social media with #givelocal757. Tell your friends, family, colleagues, etc. by email, text, phone, or in person.
  3. Fundraise – Create your own personal campaign to raise money for the Library Foundation. As an individual fundraiser, you set the goal, you get the word out, and you become a champion for your cause. Visit www.givelocal757.org/fundraise to learn how.

Follow our progress during the event on May 8th by checking out the live leaderboard. Thank you in advance for your generous support!
