Are you an ear reading enthusiast? Audio aficionado? If the answer is yes, then you'll love SYNC Audiobooks for Teens, provided by AudioFile Magazine and powered by the Sora student reading app! SYNC is a summer reading program geared toward teens aged 13 and older (though anyone is welcome to participate). The program offers two free thematically paired audiobooks each week ending to every registered listener. The program runs through August 2. View a list of this summer's weekly titles.
Titles are accessible in Sora, the student reading app from OverDrive. Each audiobook pair will be featured in Sora for 7 days. Titles change every Thursday at midnight Eastern time. Titles are your indefinitely once you "borrow" them during their 7-day availability window in Sora.
How to get Started
- Get started by visiting AudiobookSYNC and registering for the program. Previous participants do not need to register again.
- Download Sora from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or go to SoraApp.com in your browser.
- In Sora, tap "Have a setup code" at the bottom of the screen.
- Enter "audiobooksync" for the setup code and tap "Get Started."
- Enter the email address you used to sign up for SYNC and tap "Sign In."
- Tap "Explore" at the bottom of the screen to see the week's featured titles.
- Tap "Borrow" to keep each audiobook on your Shelf in Sora indefinitely. If you "Return" an audiobook, it will be completely removed from your Sora account, and you'll lose access to it once its weeklong borrowing period is over.
