Public Works is constructing a new concrete sidewalk along Bypass Road in Upper York County, from Waller Mill Road to Rt. 132. The construction window is approximately (4) months. During this time, there will be some inconveniences with construction traffic and minor traffic delays but there will be full access for all emergency vehicles, mail delivery, trash and recycling collections.
This project was planned and designed to improve pedestrian and cycling connectivity. The sidewalk will demolish the existing asphalt sidewalk, and install a new 5' concrete sidewalk to tie into the existing sidewalks from the City of Williamsburg and Commons Way. This sidewalk will allow pedestrians to safely travel along Bypass Road.
