The York County Public Library is pleased to announce the launch of Brainfuse—a versatile set of online services designed to support students, job seekers, and veterans through HelpNow, JobNow and VetNow, respectively. Brainfuse will be available to all library patrons from the library's public computers or from any computer with an internet connection.
Brainfuse HelpNow
Brainfuse HelpNow is an all-in-one suite of tutoring services designed for a wide range of academic needs whether it's tackling a tough homework problem, mastering a particular topic, or writing a paper. HelpNow services include expert academic tutoring and self-study tools to empower users to study at their own pace or collaborate with peers and teachers. Students access live academic help from expert tutors everyday from 2-11 p.m. EDT. Students and tutors communicate in real time in an online classroom by typing, drawing, and marking-up lessons and web content. Plus, students can use HelpNow's secure file-sharing feature in the writing lab to submit writing assignments to writing tutors any time of the day. The HelpNow test center offers practice tests for all levels in math, reading, and writing as well as college preparatory tests - including the SAT. An adult learning center is also available.
Brainfuse JobNow
Brainfuse JobNow is a collection of services designed for a wide range of career needs: whether it's tackling a resume, writing a cover letter, developing additional skills, or adjusting to a new career. JobNow services include expert coaching and self-study tools. Users may access live help from expert Job Coaches for assistance with interview preparation, resume creation, or job searching. Live assistance is available daily from 2-11 p.m. EDT. Career assessments and online career test preparation are also available.
Brainfuse VetNow
Brainfuse VetNow provides support for our community's veterans and their families with navigating the VA bureaucracy, providing academic tutoring, and employment transition assistance. VetNow Navigators are trained to help veterans and families connect with valuable benefits and resources including: answering questions related to benefits eligibility, referring users to applicable community resources for housing, healthcare and education benefits, and assisting users with locating accredited claims agents. Job tools feature career coaching, resume assistance, live interview preparation and more. Live assistance is available daily from 2-11 p.m. EDT.
