Holiday Movie Trivia: Nov. 30 - Dec. 5, ages 5-12
From November 30 through December 5, children ages 5-12 can participate in Holiday Movie Trivia! Choose a holiday movie and a copy of the trivia questions from the Youth Services desk at either library or download them from the website. Some of the trivia questions are specific to movies in our library system. However, you can choose a holiday movie that is not from the library and answer trivia questions for any winter holiday movie. Receive a prize in a stocking when you return your answered questions to the Youth Services desk. Then, you can choose another holiday movie for an additional prize, with a maximum of 5 movies and question sheets. Earn more treats by participating in the bonus points section on some of the trivia sheets.
I Spy & Estimation Station: Dec. 7-12
Can you find the hidden items in the I Spy tank at the Tabb Library? How many items are in the Estimation Station at the Yorktown Library? Stop by the Youth Services desk, test your skills of observation, and enter to win a prize!
Holiday Tree Decorating: Dec. 7-19
Come by the Yorktown Library to pick up a paper ornament. Take it home, decorate it, and return it to the Yorktown Youth Services desk to put up on our holiday tree.
Cookie Week: Dec. 14-19, ages 3 & up
Help us find the gingerbread man at the Tabb or Yorktown Library during Cookie Week! Bring him to the Youth Services desk and receive your reward. Also, be sure to pick up a Cookie Activity Kit. Check out a special Cookie Time Snuggle Stories video on our YouTube channel beginning Dec. 14!

Straw Weaving Craft Kit: Available Dec. 1, grades 6-12
Learn a new technique to make unique gift for friends and family with our straw weaving craft kit. This is a super fun and easy craft that you can use to make bracelets, bookmarks, necklaces, and so much more. Kits are available, while supplies last, beginning Dec. 1 at the Youth Services desk at Tabb or Yorktown. Don't forget to check our YouTube channel for a how to video to go along with this kit.
Ugly Holiday Sweater Week: Dec. 14-19, grades 6-12
Do you have an amazing Christmas sweater that you're dying to show off? Wear it to the Tabb or Yorktown Library and get a special winter treat! Buy it, make it yourself, borrow one from a friend — it doesn't matter. We love them all and can't wait to see all of the fantastic tackiness!
