SYNC Audiobooks for Teens returns for its 11th year! Sponsored by AudioFile Magazine and powered by OverDrive’s Sora student reading app, SYNC Audiobooks targets teens aged 13 and older. SYNC provides two thematically paired audiobooks for check out each week to every registered listener for 13 weeks. Users have access to a total of 26 FREE audiobooks! Register for SYNC and sign up for email or text alerts.
New SYNC titles are available each Thursday through the following Wednesday night. Once loaded into the app, titles are yours indfinitely.
This year SYNC titles are accessible in Sora, the student reading app from OverDrive, and are Mac and Windows compatible. You don’t need to be affiliated with a school to use Sora with the SYNC program. After registering for SYNC, simply download Sora from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Open Sora and tap "I have a setup code" at the bottom of the screen. The setup code is audiobooksync. Enter the email address you used to sign up for SYNC. Tap "Explore" (at the bottom of the screen) to see the week’s featured titles.
If you already use Sora for school, you’ll need to add the SYNC program’s library. Open the Sora menu and select "Add a public library." Search for audiobooksync and select the library from the results.
