[ARCHIVED] So Many eBooks! So Little Time.

What to do when your digital hold is available, but you don't want it yet

What do you do when you have too many OverDrive eBooks or audiobooks to read in the two week checkout period, and yet another of your holds becomes available? You can schedule this hold to be delivered later!

When a hold becomes available for you, you’ll receive an email and a notification in our OverDrive collection. You have three days to borrow the hold. Go to your holds in the app or on our OverDrive site to borrow the title. If you’re not ready to read it, have it delivered later. You’ll stay at the front of the wait list, but pass the current copy to the next person in line. Choose the earliest date you want this title to be delivered, and after that date, you’ll get a copy when the next person returns it.

If you don’t borrow or reschedule your hold within three days (72 hours), it’ll be automatically rescheduled as a one-time courtesy. You’ll get this title again after seven days or more, depending on when the next person returns it. If you take no action a second time, your hold will be canceled automatically.
