Stop by the Yorktown Library between 1 and 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, to meet Patti Procopi. Procopi will be signing copies of her contemporary fiction titles, Please...Tell Me More, I'll Get By, and Stop Talking. Books will also be available for sale.
Procopi's novel, Please...Tell Me More, is a heartfelt story about sisters Rose and Ivy, family and the tenuous connections we forge in life. Her second novel, I'll Get By, focuses on the choices the women in Jane's family made and how those choices alter Jane's outlook on love and life. Procopi's latest novel, Stop Talking, is the highly anticipated sequel to Please... Tell Me More. The novel features Rose, her husband, and their niece.
Procopi is a former army brat who lived all over the world before settling in the rural community of Gloucester, Virginia with her husband. There, they raised three daughters and numerous cats and dogs. After retiring from working at two area history museums, Procopi finally had time to do the things she always wanted to, including writing. Moving constantly made it difficult to make friends and form lasting relationships. Her writing is about emotional connections, friendship and family.
In addition to writing, Procopi fills her days with rescuing raptors and other birds, and taking pictures of the birds on the creek in her backyard including her beloved osprey, herons and egrets. She also likes to research her past on Ancestry. Procopi and her husband love to travel and have been busy checking off their bucket list.
