Responsibilities
Abbitt Woodall is the Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization Division Manager. He is responsible for developing and administering projects and programs to meet the county's housing and neighborhood revitalization goals. He oversees the county's federally funded rental subsidy program (Section 8), Emergency Home Repair Program, Neighborhood Revitalization Projects and First Time Home buyer Program.
About Abbitt Woodall
Mr. Woodall has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the College of William and Mary with a concentration in Finance and a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Mr. Woodall began his career working for the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development as a Community Representative, providing technical assistance and monitoring compliance on federally funded community development projects. He served as the Executive Director of a local nonprofit housing agency for 14 years before coming to York County. He was recognized by the Virginia Housing Coalition in 2015 as one of the Top Affordable Housing Professionals under 40 in Virginia.
