Waste Services Manager Laurie Halperin served as York County's Recycling and Beautification Coordinator since August 1997. She is now Waste Services Manager and performs job responsibilities for both positions. Ms. Halperin manages curbside and drop-off programs and serves as the county liaison to the York County Beautification Committee. Additionally, she manages other programs and projects in the division including disaster debris removal operations, garbage and recycling collections, and the transfer station operations. 

Prior to joining York County, Ms. Halperin worked for the Ocean Conservancy, formerly the Center for Marine Conservation, as a Program Manager.
