As Assistant Director, Scott Ashworth oversees numerous Divisions within Public Works to include: Waste Management Services, Fleet Services, Stormwater Operations and Grounds Maintenance. Prior to his current position, he served as Chief of Grounds Maintenance and Stormwater Operations, Superintendent of Grounds, and Athletic Field Coordinator at the McReynolds Athletic Complex.
Mr. Ashworth earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Tennessee Technological University. He holds a Certified Nutrient Manager certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia. Prior to his hiring in 2009, Mr. Ashworth was employed as the Sports Turf Manager at Christopher Newport University.
