Youth Basketball
Registration
Registration will begin October 1, 2019 in person or online and continue until October 30, 2019. Office hours are 8:15 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. Registration forms will be available in the office.
Eligibility
York County and non-county residents who are age 4-18 as of October 1, 2019, may participate. Children who are currently in the process of trying out for a school sport team, are encouraged to register. Refunds will be given to those children who make the school team.
Leagues
The leagues will be broken down as follows - 8 & Under Girls; 8 & Under Boys; 10 & Under Girls; 10 & Under Boys; 12 & Under Girls; 12 & Under Boys; 15 & Under Girls; 15 & Under Boys; 18 & Under Girl; 18 & Under Boys. 7 year olds can play league play or they can select the start smart program. They will be assigned to their age group by determining what their age is age as of October 1, 2019. For example....If someone registers their child that is 10. Their birthday is September 29. On October 1, they will be 11, therefore they will be in the 12U League. October 1 was selected, because it matches the school district.
Fees
Residents -
The fees are $55 for the first child; $50 for each additional child per family, York County Residents only.Non-County Residents -
Non-county residents are $90 for all non-county residents.Fee Waived -
Fees are waived for York County families falling within the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP - Federal Food Stamp) eligibility limits. Proof of eligibility along with proper ID are required for registration in person at the Parks, Recreation and Tourism office. This waiver is available for York County residents only. **Start Smart Instructional Class not included.No Special Requests

Start Smart Instructional Class
This coed class is an instructional program with paid instructors teaching basketball skills and fundamentals. Classes meet for one hour each Tuesday for eight (8) consecutive weeks and will begin January 8th. T-shirts/jerseys are not provided. Program culminates with a game for the parents to see their children demonstrate what they have learned! Limited to the first 120 children that register.
Equipment
Participants should wear non-skid sneakers and athletic shorts without zippers or pockets to all practices and games. All jewelry is prohibited. A Jersey is provided for league play.
Coaching Parents
Any parent who volunteers to coach, their child will be automatically placed on their team if within the age restrictions.
Coaches Meeting
Coaches and volunteers are always needed!
