York County and non-county residents who are age 5-18 as of October 1, 2020, may participate. Children who are currently in the process of trying out for a school sport team, are encouraged to register. Refunds will be given to those children who make the school team.
Age Grouped Leagues (ages 7-18)The leagues will be broken down as follows - 8 & Under Girls (8u); 8 & Under Boys (8u); 10 & Under Girls (10u); 10 & Under Boys (10u); 12 & Under Girls (12u); 12 & Under Boys (12u); 15 & Under Girls (15u); 15 & Under Boys (15u); 18 & Under Girl (18u); 18 & Under Boys (18u). Players will be assigned to a league based on their age as of October 1, 2020. This is the same date the schools use to determine “school age.”
Example: Even though a child may have turned 11 years old on October 2, their league age for winter basketball would be 10 years old, since that was their age this past October 1st. As a result, they would register to play in the 10u Winter Basketball League.
Note: Children with a league age of 7 year olds may be registered in either 8u Winter Basketball League OR the "Start Smart" Instructional Program described below.
