Amy Etheridge



Responsibilities
Amy R. Etheridge, Deputy Director of Human Resources, is responsible for assessing organizational development needs, providing recommendations on career development principles and evaluating various organizational strategies and programs. She directs the needs assessment for training and staff development, manages all training administration and also advises in the areas of recruitment, employee on-boarding, employee relations and policy interpretation. In addition, she plays an active role on the County's Safety and Wellness Committees.

About Amy Etheridge
Ms. Etheridge began working in York County in 2013 as a Senior Human Resources Analyst and held the position of Human Resources Administrator prior to becoming Deputy Director.  Ms. Etheridge received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration of Justice and Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.  Additionally, Ms. Etheridge holds two certifications:  Senior Professional in Human Resources and International Public Management Association - Senior Certified Professional. She is an active member of various local and national training and human resource organizations.

Responsibilities
Brian Fuller is the Director of Community Services. He supervises the divisions of Children and Family Services, Juvenile Services, Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization, and Parks, Recreation, and Tourism. In his capacity as director, he also oversees the activities of the York-Poquoson Office of Virginia Cooperative Extension. 

The division also has liaison responsibility for over 10 Boards and Commissions/Committees that assist in carrying on the work of the County.

About Brian Fuller
Mr. Fuller holds a Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation, Leisure Services, and Physical Education from Virginia Wesleyan College (1984), became a Certified Park and Recreation Professional in 1990 and is a 2015 graduate of the Historic Triangle LEAD program. Mr. Fuller completed a Graduate Certificate in Local Government Management through Virginia Tech in 2017. 

Mr. Fuller began working in York County in 1984 as a Recreation Supervisor I and held the positions of Recreation Supervisor II, Parks Recreation and Tourism Manager and Deputy Director of Community Services prior to becoming Director. He has been an active member of both the Virginia Recreation and Park Society (VRPS) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) for over 30 years.
