Adam A. Frisch, PhD, is the Director of the Department of Information Technology. As director, Dr. Frisch supervises the offices of Network and PC Support, Data Processing, and Geographic Information Systems (Mapping). Information Technology provides the required systems to support the efficient operation of county government and makes government information accessible to its citizens.

Dr. Frisch received his Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from the University of South Florida and his Masters and PhD in Marine Science from the College of William and Mary. He taught field geology in India for UNESCO, after which he worked for the State of Virginia as an Environmental program manager within the Council on the Environment, and then a position in the Department of Environmental Quality. He came to York County in 1994 as the Geographic Information Systems manager and was later promoted to Chief of Computer Support Services, and then Director of the Department of Information Technology.
