Safety Town is a government and community partnership designed to teach young children various aspects of life safety. Through the use of age-appropriate, hands-on interactive experiences, children enjoy learning lifesaving behaviors and practices that can help reduce the chance of serious injury.
Safety Town provides a safe and interesting learning environment that is set up to simulate an actual town. The Safety Town site features mock buildings, sidewalks and streets, and is used as a practice area for the safety lessons.
During the summer of 2017, York County's Safety Town program will host its 23rd season. Two hundred (200) children will attend Safety Town during the summer.
