New Quarter Park

Come to New Quarter Park

Hello All,

Are you still working on decorating for the Holidays? What better way to decorate your home, than to make your own holiday wreath or basket out of native plants!  Come join us this Saturday December 7th from 10 am to 12 pm for our annual FREE Holiday Make and Take. We will have an assortment of native plants, pinecones, ribbons, and more for you to use. You can register online until December 6 for this fun activity by visiting www.yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec.

We have two additional programs happening outside of New Quarter Park that might be of interest to those with dogs, children, and/or grandchildren. You can register for either program online until Wednesday December 11th
  • Grinch's Night Out - Friday, December 13th - Need to do some holiday shopping for the kids? Drop the children off at our Grinch's Night Out at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Building at Charles Brown Park (1905 Old Williamsburg Road, Yorktown) from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Program for youth ages 5-12 to have fun with a Grinch-filled time of dinner, games, crafts, and a movie. Fee is $15 per child.

  • Howliday Dog Stroll - Sunday, December 15th - Join the fun as we celebrate our furry friends with the Howliday Dog Stroll at Kiln Creek Park (2901 Kiln Creek Parkway, Yorktown) on Sunday, December 15, from 1 to 3 p.m.  In addition to strolling around the park with your dog, you can also visit booths sponsored by local pet vendors and others.  Santa will also be making a stop at the park to take pictures, so dress up your four-legged friends in their holiday finest! Dogs must stay on a leash (max of six-feet) at all times.  Fee is $10.
