Friendly reminder of our Winter Park Hours:

  • Back Creek Park Tennis Courts (3000 Goodwin Neck Road, Yorktown, 23692): The Tennis Office at Back Creek Park will be closed through March 31, 2020. Tennis courts are available for free play during these months by calling Parks and Recreation at 890-3500 to obtain gate lock combinations.

  • McReynolds Athletic Complex (MAC) (412 Sports Way, Yorktown, 23693): Winter hours at the MAC will run from November 1, 2019 through February 28, 2020. During this time, the complex will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except when it will remain open for the conclusion of scheduled activities. The park will remain subject to closure during periods of inclement weather.

  • National Park Service Beach Picnic Area (800 Water Street, Yorktown, 23690): The Beach Picnic area will remain open until dusk each day. However, restroom facilities will be closed November 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020.

  • New Quarter Park (1000 Lakeshead Drive, Williamsburg, 23185): New Quarter Park will transition from daily to weekend only hours beginning Sunday, November 3, 2019 and continuing through the end of March 2020.  During this time, the park will open from 10 a.m. to dusk on Fridays and from 8 a.m. to dusk on Saturdays and Sundays.  During these hours, park staff will be on site and public restrooms will be available. Visitors are allowed to walk and ride bicycles into the park on weekdays, but vehicles cannot be driven into the park. Portable toilets are available inside the park gates. Clubs and organizations who wish to use the park for field trips and events may call New Quarter Park at (757) 890-5840 to make arrangements in advance.

  • Riverwalk Landing Piers and Dockmaster's Office (423 Water Street, Yorktown, 23690): The public piers, Dockmaster's Office and adjacent restroom building at Yorktown's Riverwalk Landing will close from Tuesday, November 12, 2019 through March 31, 2020. These facilities will not be staffed during this time. Dockage will still be available though all water and utilities will be shut off. Please contact the Dockmaster at (757) 890-3370 with any questions or reservation requests during this time period.

  • Wolf Trap Park (1009 Wolf Trap Road, Yorktown, 23692): Wolf Trap Park is open daily 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each year from September 1 through March 31. The park is subject to closure due to inclement weather for safety reasons and to protect the turf. During inclement weather the park gates will remain locked.

  • Chisman Creek Park (1314 Wolf Trap Road, Yorktown, 23692): Chisman Creek Park is open daily 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from September 1 through March 31. The park is subject to closure due to inclement weather for safety reasons and to protect the turf. During inclement weather the park gates will remain locked.
