Yorktown Day Includes Town-wide Festivities
Take Part in Patriotic Ceremonies, a Community Parade & Extended Farmers Market!
October 19 is an important day in America's History. And this year, the anniversary of the Battle of Yorktown falls on a Saturday! That means the entire town will be filled with special programs and activities to help history come alive. Salute the military during the parade down Main Street, cheer for the cannons and performances on the Battlefield, and interact with Revolutionary War reenactors at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. Yorktown Market Days will have extended hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to give you more time to shop your favorite vendors, artists, and food trucks during the day's town-wide events. Be sure to bring your appetite because Carrot Tree will be selling Brunswick Stew and Ham Biscuits and Restaurant Owner Glenn Helseth will be sharing his super-secret recipe during a Chef Cooking Demonstration at 10:30. Enjoy live entertainment from local favorite Phil Poteat as well as another special performance by the Fifes and Drums of York Town. Click here for the full list of Yorktown Day events.
