Our farmers have had a busy week prepping for this Saturday's Yorktown Market Days. Take a look at all of the gourd-geous pumpkins they've been packing up from the patch. They'll also have your favorite fresh fruits and veggies. Hope to see you down at Riverwalk Landing from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.!
Allen's Farm: Expect to see pumpkins of all kinds; acorn, butternut, blue hubbard, spaghetti, yellow, and zucchini squash; cushaws; cucumbers; peppers; eggplants; tomatoes; black-eyed peas; sweet potatoes; and apples, peaches, and pears from the Shenandoah Valley.
Penn Farm: Fernando will have tomatoes, squash, beans, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, okra, spaghetti squash, potatoes, cherry tomatoes, peaches, and sweet potatoes. Plus, the farm has a late cantaloupe and watermelon patch still coming in strong. They told us their strawberry plugs and in and ready to be planted, so they're preparing the field for the plastic rows. They're also busy planting many more winter crops!
