May 17, 2019

Come out to New Quarter Park’s fire circle on Friday, May 24, for “Stories by the Fire.”  Starting about 15 minutes before sunset, professional storyteller Darci Tucker will paint vivid scenes of faraway places and adventures in this water-themed storytelling session. This storytelling event is free!  Come early, grab a seat, and roast s’mores over the fire.  New Quarter Park is located at 1000 Lakeshead Drive, adjacent to the Queens Lake neighborhood in the northern portion of York County.

Darci Tucker is a nationally known storyteller who performs in schools and festivals throughout the country and tells ancient folktales and fairytales, personal stories, ghost stories, and also portrays historical people.  Darci founded American Lives™ in 2000, to bring history to life for students and museum visitors. Her stories help listeners understand our culture, rights, and responsibilities as Americans by exploring the lives of our predecessors.

Additional storytelling sessions are scheduled for June 29th with Anthony Burcher and October 12 with Bill Rose.
