New Quarter Park

Come to New Quarter Park this Weekend

Hello All,

For the month of March we have these four FREE events lined up:

  • Friday, March 8, we will host the monthly “Wash and Talk” with park interpreter Sara Lewis from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.  Come out and help Sara clean and sort our growing collection of artifacts found right here in the park that date back several hundred years!  Please register for this activity by emailing
    michael.wilcox@yorkcounty.gov.

  • Saturday March 23, is our monthly Bird Walk, hosted by the Williamsburg Bird Club from 8 – 10 a.m.  Participants will meet in the main parking lot by the office. Stop by the office to checkout a FREE pair of binoculars.

  • Saturday March 23,  is the Walk and Talk: Forest Therapy from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.  This practice has become a cornerstone of preventive health care and healing in Japanese medicine. Register online at www.yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec.  Space is limited!

  • Saturday March 30, the Colonial Road Runners will be hosting their annual Queens Lake 5K at New Quarter Park. For more information and to register go to http://www.colonialroadrunners.org/.
