September 11, 2025 Raise a glass and celebrate the bounty of the Chesapeake Bay at the upcoming Yorktown Wine & Oyster Festival from 12 to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, October 4–5, 2025. This two-day ticketed event along the picturesque Yorktown Waterfront will pair Virginia’s finest wines with one of the area’s most treasured underwater delicacies—fresh oysters, served raw, roasted, or steamed. Guests can sip, sample, and stroll through Riverwalk Landing while enjoying live music, gourmet food trucks, regional artists, and educational exhibits. With sweeping views of the York River, a crisp autumn breeze, and the perfect blend of wine and seafood, the festival promises an unforgettable experience steeped in coastal sophistication. Tickets are required for entry. - One-day ticket: $50 per person

A limited number of non-drinking tickets are available. Guests are welcome to bring unopened bottled water and small folding chairs. No outside food, beverages, tents, or umbrellas are permitted. Service animals only. Highlights include: - Live Musical Performances:

- Wine, Spirits, and Beer: Nearly 20 local wineries and distilleries will provide samples of their signature blends, offering irresistible pairings with oysters and other seafood favorites. This event will also feature a Virginia Craft Beer Garden.

- 1 to 5 p.m. – Enhanced Wine Tasting (add-on), $20 per person
- 1 to 3 p.m. – Create your own oyster ornament (while supplies last). Free.
- 3 p.m. – Oyster Shuck Off! Watch local chefs compete for the Best Oyster Shucker in town. Free.
- Sunday:
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Boats & Bordeaux (add-on), a sip-and-paint workshop guided by On the Hill Gallery & Gifts, $35 per person. Yorktown Freight Shed.
- 2 to 5 p.m. – Enhanced Wine Tasting (add-on), $20 per person.
- Educational Booths: Learn about oysters and the Bay’s ecosystem from the Tidewater Oyster Gardeners Association, Virginia Institute of Marine Science, the Virginia Oyster Trail, and the Watermen’s Museum.
- Food Trucks: Indulge your taste buds with seafood and gourmet fare from Coastal Thirst, Dong’s Food Truck, Hungry Hungry Arrow, Kathi’s Clam Chowder, On the Flipside Food Truck, Salty Bob’s Seafood, Spud Brothers, and Vogt Oyster Company.
