Got a green thumb and want to share your knowledge with others? Become a Master Gardener! These folks are a vital resource to the York/Poquoson Cooperative Extension office teaching classes, answering horticultural questions, presenting programs, and diagnosing plant diseases. Explore History and the Great Outdoors at New Quarter Park
Do you know about the Civil War battles that happened all around York County and Williamsburg? Visit New Quarter Park (1000 Lakeshead Drive) next Saturday (5/6) for a free Battle of Williamsburg Walk & Talk from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. As part of the program, an infantryman will be standing his post ready to discuss the battle and the medical equipment available during that time. Please register by Thursday (5/4).
Additional Notes for the Week…The Yorktown Library Reopening Celebration is Sunday (4/30) from 1 to 4 p.m. Come tour the facility, let your kids enjoy open play, enjoy live music, and more! The Board of Supervisors will consider adoption of the FY2024 Budget at Tuesday’s (5/2) meeting at 6 p.m. in York Hall (301 Main Street). Safety Town registration opens Monday for residents.
