Visit Yorktown for the French Market and History Day!

If you love a French affair, join us from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow (4/15) for the Sister Cities French Market. Enjoy music, wine, and featured traditional market products such as fresh-baked bread and pastries, chocolates, macarons, crepes, and authentic beignets. Bet on fantastique items during the silent auction, and watch the Fifes and Drums perform at 10 a.m. Purchase seasonal produce, baked goods, meats, flowers and art from more than 60 vendors coming this week, listed here.

After the market, stick around Historic Yorktown for a little history lesson. April 15 is York County History Day, and at the Watermen’s Museum and York Hall visitors may celebrate the occasion and enjoy musical performances, cannon drills and military demonstrations, a chili cookoff, a folk jam, and a special performance from Sheila Arnold, who will share stories of the Underground Railroad.
