Library Opens, Clocks Change, Budget Presentation Upcoming
New Yorktown Library Open March 20!
The wait is over! The expanded and renovated library opens at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 20. Visitors may enjoy the circulation and reference services back at full capacity, public computers with print capabilities, and the use of study and group rooms. Because of continuing minor construction projects, some areas of the building may not be available, including the Children’s Wing. Once fully opened, the facility will offer an auditorium with a stage for performances, technology makerspace lab, and a local history area. Hours of operation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Beginning March 18 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., the Tabb Library is offering a four-part, weekly ukulele series for intermediate and advanced players. Instructor Jamie Auberg will help students learn to play both melodies and chores in a fun, innovative learning environment. This class is open to ages 13 and up. Registration is required.
