Special Fall Markets Begin Tomorrow
Mark your calendars with the dates and times of these special themed Yorktown Market Days beginning tomorrow (9/10) with the First Responders Market from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Stop by and chat with a first responder, check out a fire engine or patrol car, or learn more about the Public Works Vactor Truck. The Fall Festival is October 8 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a hayride, face painting, hay maze, petting zoo, and more. A favorite event each year is Paws at the River. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on October 29, pet parents can visit special booths focused on pet health and happiness, have their fur-kid’s picture taken, and participate in the annual Halloween Pet Costume Parade! Kids love the Maritime Festival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on November 12 when pirates “invade” the waterfront and talk about seafaring life and take the lead in singing sea-shanties. Great seafood will be available to enjoy, and a special History Fair inside the Freight Shed will allow visitors to hear untold stories of Yorktown. All this fun and over 50 vendors too! Get all the details in this week’s press release.
