The last Sunset Kayak Tour of 2022 is on Thursday, September 22. The meeting time will be an hour and a half before sunset. Registration will close a week prior, that Thursday. This tour is perfect for anyone who is a beginner or novice at kayaking.
Come to the Park on Saturday, September 24, for our monthly Bird Walk. Starting at 8 am in our parking lot by the park office, join us as we explore the park while looking for birds before they leave for the winter. This is a free program with online registration ending Wednesday, September 21. If you miss the online cut-off date, come out and sign in before the walk begins!
New Quarter Park is holding a BioBlitz on Saturday, September 22! Join us as we try to document as many plants, trees, pollinators, and wildlife living inside New Quarter Park as possible. The BioBlitz is a free full-day event from 9 am to 5 pm. Participants do not have to stay the entire time. Come to Shelter #2 to sign in and learn how to help us document wildlife on the iNaturalist (free app). All you will need for this adventure is yourself, your phone (and/or camera), and water!
Let the music take you away. Come to New Quarter Park and enjoy the sweet melodies by Joe Duggan of Joe’s Day Off on Wednesday, September 28. Sing along or join in the music with your own instrument.
