Yorktown’s Award-Winning Farmers Market Offers New Fun in the Sun Market at the Waterfront!

Celebrate all things summer at the new Fun in the Sun Market on Saturday, July 16 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Slather on some sunscreen and don’t forget your shades when you head out to Riverwalk Landing to shop for seasonal items and fresh fun! During this special market, join us for ice-cold drinks; live Caribbean steel drum music; hula hoops and corn hole; a shell painting craft from On the Hill Gallery; unique photo opportunities; the season’s freshest produce, including tomatoes, corn, watermelon, and squash; sea-inspired art; and so much more. And do it all with the beautiful York River as your backdrop. It's summertime and the living is easy - enjoy it to the last drop!

The One Love Caribbean Steel Drum Band will perform on the Riverwalk Landing Performance Stage from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Don’t miss the free family fun including kids activities also beginning at 9 a.m.

Yorktown Market Days has been serving the Peninsula for more than 15 years. The market is a way for families of all economic backgrounds to access fresh, nutritious food as close to the source as possible—the region’s farmers, chefs, and food artisans. Yorktown Market Days is also a proud participant in the USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Yorktown Market Days is your one-stop shop for seasonal produce; fresh poultry, eggs, and milk; beef, pork, and seafood; artisan bread and scratch-made desserts; honey, jams, and sauces; flowers, plants, and herbs; coffee, tea, fresh-pressed juices, and wine; high-quality art; and even gourmet dog treats!

There is no charge for the market and it is held rain or shine. Free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building, and other designated public parking lots. The complimentary, wheelchair-accessible Yorktown Trolley starts at 10 a.m. on Market Days and makes several convenient stops throughout town.
