Who wants to see a movie? Movies in the Park is returning to New Quarter Park on June 11 for the movie: Luca. Weather permitting, the movie will start about 15 minutes after sunset.
With these warm summer nights, how does a nice warm meal by the fire sound? Join us at the Fire Circle in New Quarter Park on June 17 at 6:30p for cooking by the Fire as we make Pizza Kebabs. Registration is still open and available.
Let our music take you away. Come out to New Quarter Park and enjoy the sweet melodies by Joe Duggan of Joe’s Day Off. Sing along or join in the music with your own instrument.
Ever seen the sunset while on the water? New Quarter Park will be holding a Sunset Kayak Tour on June 23 at 6p. This program is perfect for anyone new or who does not have much kayaking experience. Registration is still open and available. Registration will close on June 16.
Do you wish you could know more about the raptors that hang around New Quarter Park? Come out to the Park on June 24 at 6:30p at Shelter #2 as we have a Natural History Talk on the Eagles and Osprey in our area. After the talk, join us for a walk to the floating dock as we go out to look at the birds as they get comfortable for their evening rest. Registration is still open and available until June 22.
With summer having just arrived, have you seen the birds who have been settling in at New Quarter Park? Led by the Williamsburg Bird Club, come out for our monthly bird walk on June 25 at 8a. Registration closes on June 23.
Come out to the Fire Circle at New Quarter Park on June 26 for our free Drum Circle program. Starting at 7:30 pm, feel the beat of the music, the sounds of the natural world, and the serenity of the moment. Registration will end on June 24.
The best gift you can ever give is life. Come out to Charles Brown Park on June 29 for our partnered Blood Drive with the American Red Cross. From 1p to 6p, you can donate blood to those in need. Everyone who donates will be entered into a raffle to win two free 2-hour kayak rentals. Register online at the American Red Cross website before space is full.
