Helpline registers hundreds for vaccine; Love is in the Air for Valentine's Market on Feb. 13
Helpline Registers Hundreds for Vaccine Since Tuesday Launch
Earlier this week, the County activated a Covid-19 Helpline – (757) 890-5890 – for residents needing assistance with registering for the Covid-19 vaccine. Phone lines are manned Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Currently, registration is open to individuals 65 and up, ages 16-64 with underlying medical conditions, essential workers, and healthcare providers. Because the best way to register is online, the Helpline was established specifically to reach members of the community without Internet access. Please inform your family members, friends and neighbors without online access to call the Helpline for assistance. You can always find information 24/7 on our COVID-19 Connection.
Eviction Prevention Program Applications Now Being Accepted
The Williamsburg Health Foundation has made available $1 million in grant funds to assist eligible residents of York County, Williamsburg, and James City County in rent and mortgage payment to avoid eviction. Those who have experienced financial loss due to Covid-19 can find additional information, including income guidelines and required documentation, on the Eviction Prevention Program page and also on the Covid-19 Connection.
