Greetings from the Senior Center of York

The Senior Center will continue to not be open in the traditional sense. However, a staff member will answer all phone calls Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am and 4:30 pm. The Senior Center will be offering limited programming in December, please see the attached flyer for upcoming programs. Make sure to save your space for a fun game of ping pong! 45 minutes slots are available for two people to play with social distancing. Don’t have a partner, register and we will try to secure you an opponent. We leave a break between reservation times to allow staff proper time to clean and sanitize all items between each reservation time. Pre-registration is required in advance for all activities by calling the Senior Center or registering online at www.yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec. If you have not registered online before, you will need to set up an online account. Programs will be modified to meet Virginia's current Phased Guidelines, CDC recommendations, and for everyone's safety. We ask all patrons to recreate responsibly by social distancing and wearing face masks. Temperature checks and wellness surveys (series of questions as outlined by the Virginia Department of Health) will be conducted on participants before entering the program as well.

Registration for programs offered the first week of December will begin Saturday, November 28 online.  Programs held after the first week, registration will begin Monday, November 30 online.
