Tropical Storm Isaias Update 4
August 4, 2020
Isaias has moved through our area after bringing down several trees and leaving many citizens in the dark. As of 9 a.m., approximately 35 trees were reported down, with six of them in structures, resulting in varying degrees of damage.
Later this afternoon, York County will stand down from its emergency storm response mode, but will follow-up with those situations that caused property damage.
The County is offering free storm-debris pickup to those residents who submit a collection request by close of business Tuesday, August 11. Collection requests may be made online at www.yorkcounty.gov/requests or by calling (757) 890-3780. When on the request site, residents should create an account to easily track the status of their request and also so that staff can contact them, if necessary.

Residents of low-lying areas who moved their boats, trailers, campers, etc. to either the McReynolds Athletic Complex or Chisman Creek Park are asked to remove their vehicles by Wednesday evening (August 5).
