New Quarter Park

Come to New Quarter Park

Hello All,

I hope everyone had a merry Christmas with their family and friends. The year is almost over and with it we will start a new decade!  A century ago, the decade of the 1920's (the "Roaring 20's") was known as the Age of Jazz and the starting point for women's independence. With a new year and a new decade ahead of us, let's start it off strong, and work to better ourselves and our community. Let us make this a decade to remember!

For the final weekend of 2019, we will have our monthly Bird Walk on Saturday, December 28. Come celebrate the end of the year with the Williamsburg Bird Club as they take a trek through the park in search of our feathered friends. This FREE program starts at 8 a.m. and meets in the main parking lot. If you do not have your own binoculars, you can check a pair out from the park office for free with an ID.

Wednesday is New Years!  In keeping with our winter hours, the park will be closed during the weekdays and will be open Friday (10 a.m. to dusk) and Saturday and Sunday (8:00 a.m. to dusk).

NOTE:  For weather related cancellations, please call our RainoutLine at 757-890-3501 and use extension 35 for events, extension 34 for the disc golf course, or extension 33 for trails at New Quarter Park. You may also visit our RainoutLine webpage

See you at the park,
Michael Wilcox
