Register for York County Summer Fun Program!

Summer Fun Camp - The four princesses are dressed up for the Summer Fun Camp’s special “Carnival Day

Registration begins Monday, February 11, for York County Parks and Recreation’s popular “Summer Fun Camp” program and the complementary “Field Trip Fever” program.


Summer Fun Camp (7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday - Thursday, June 24 – July 25): For children currently enrolled in grades K-7 for the 2018-2019 school year. The Summer Fun Camp registration fee is $225 for York County residents and $400 for non-residents. This 5-week program meets at the following locations:

  • Elementary School sites for children completing grades 1 through 5:

Coventry, Grafton Bethel, Seaford, and Magruder

  • Middle School sites for youth that have completed grades 5 through 7:

Tabb and Queens Lake

*Note for Children completing 5th grade this June may be registered for the age level program that parents feel best suits their child.


Summer Fun participants are supervised by qualified camp leaders in safe settings. Special “theme” days throughout each week add to the fun. Campers have a great time during water play, organized recreational games, crafts, and more. Special summer highlights at the elementary school sites include guest speakers and a County wide Carnival Day, which includes games, face painting, balloon animals, and more. Highlights for the middle school programs include trips to roller skating, swimming, and bowling, as well as a host of enjoyable daily activities.

Field Trip Fever Program: This program complements the Summer Fun Camp and is open to students currently enrolled in grades 1 through 6 this school year. This program features exciting field trip fun and is fully supervised by qualified camp leaders throughout the day. The cost for each Field Trip Fever session is $100 for York County residents and $130 for non-residents. Transportation by York County school bus drivers and buses.

  • FIELD TRIP I (Fridays, June 28 - July 26):

Coventry, Grafton Bethel, Seaford, and Magruder elementary schools

  • FIELD TRIP II (Monday - Friday, July 29 - August 2):

Coventry, Grafton Bethel, Seaford, and Magruder elementary schools

Hours of operation for each session’s meeting days are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Actual field trip times vary depending on the itinerary for that particular day. Limited space is available for this program and those interested are encouraged to register early.
