Rainbow Puppet Productions presents "Footsteps in History," 400 years of Virginia history in 45 minutes, on Saturday, January 26, 2 p.m., in the Tabb Library meeting room. The show begins in 1607 when Powhatan and Pocahontas see strangers entering the land of their ancestors. Those strangers include Captain Christopher Newport and John Smith who set sail from England searching for riches. Meet Blackbeard and his pirates, Mary Peake, Abe Lincoln, Neil Armstrong, and more. From the arrival of slaves to the first land battle of the Civil War to landing on the moon, the show highlights Virginia's rich history.
Rainbow Puppets started in 1977. Since the mid-90’s, as part of Young Audiences of Virginia, they have grown into one of the largest touring companies in Virginia, performing for hundreds of thousands of children in schools and libraries.
