[ARCHIVED] Tabb High School Landscape Rehabilitation

The grounds at Tabb High School are receiving some attention from the Grounds Maintenance Division of Department of Public Works.  Over the summer, the tennis courts were resurfaced, with a new sealcoating and fresh lines painted on the courts.  The resurfacing was completed in July.

Also taking place in 2018 on the high school grounds, 28 diseased Leyland Cyprus trees will be removed and replaced with new evergreens. It was discovered that the Leyland Cyprus trees were afflicted with bagworms, a common insect pest, and the infestation progressed beyond the point of effective control. In a consolidated effort with York County School Division and York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office, Public Works is removing the infested trees and coordinating replacement. We anticipate full removal of the Cyprus and installation of the replacement of the trees by the fall of 2018.
